Cirrus HD Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) - is a new, non-invasive technology used for imaging the retina, the multi-layered sensory tissue lining the back of the eye.
This instrument is the first to allow doctors to see cross-sectional images of the retina. It uses spectral domain technology to capture exquisite high-definition images of precise retinal tissue and pathology. It has revolutionized the early detection and treatment of eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, pre-retinal membranes, optic nerve damage, and even macular swelling associate with systemic vascular conditions, ie. diabetes or hypertension.
Corneal Topography - this instrument allows detailed mapping of the cornea, the clear front surface of the eye that is responsible for 70% of the eye's focusing ability. It is utilized in contact lens fitting, diagnosing and managing of corneal disease, such as keratoconus, as well as evaluating pre- and postoperative refractive surgery (LASIK).
We also understand the challenges of those who have been diagnosed with low vision. Hence we offer a line of visual aids aimed at helping those with reduced vision regain their visual independence. Our vision aids provide the ability to read, write, see loved ones or spend time outdoors.
